Lessen the load: Many people find that stress comes from trying to do too much too fast. You may find that people are piling work on you, and you feel as though you can’t say no. You may be setting yourself tight deadlines that, with the best will in the world, are impossible to meet. You may be trying to cram too much in to your day, and finding that you have no time for yourself. Try and reduce the amount you are doing: when you set deadlines, make sure that they are realistic and achievable. If you are overloaded with work, ask for help. And if you find that you have no time for yourself, reduce the amount you are trying to do each day. Quality time is important in the battle against stress, and you must ensure that you take the time to relax.
Meditation: This can provide a very effective way to relax and take a little time out. You can clear your mind, enjoy some total relaxation and even listen to a little pipe music to enhance the relaxed mood. Try and do this for around ten or fifteen minutes each day.

Or you could book yourself in for a spa day every so often, and enjoy the benefits of exercise, followed by a spell in the Jacuzzi or steam room, and topped off with a relaxing massage. The hit the high street, get a hair cut, do some shopping…make the day your own.
