After you do your interview, just edit the parts that you feel don’t show your interview in the best light.

Another way to practice filmmaking is make a home movie. You can design your own set and get your family involved in the project. Write a short script of interest and make sure that the lines you want in your movie are distributed to the cast you have chosen, whether it’s family or friends. You want to make sure they are taking this seriously and it is important to you that your ideas on paper are transferred to the screen in the best possible way. After you finish your movie you can edit out the things that don’t please you.

You don’t have to have a cast to make a movie. T ake your movie camera to the stree ts and try a short documentary. T his can be on anythi ng that takes your interest, such as dogs, cats, the homeless - something that’s happening i n your town that is news worthy . Your town or city is a goldmine of ideas for movies with everything or anything that takes your interest and will capture the interest of an audience.
